Monica Davis, President
Monica Davis was raised in Fallon and graduated from Churchill County High School in 2014. After high school, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno and pursued a degree in Secondary Education. While in Reno, she worked with youth and teens through the Boys' and Girls' Club of Truckee Meadows as well as through various educational settings. She and her husband Robby moved back to Fallon in the summer of 2018 so that Monica could begin her teaching career in the school district where both of them were raised. After student teaching at Churchill County Middle School, Monica graduated from UNR and began teaching English at CCHS. She is now back at CCMS teaching seventh grade ELA and is also an assistant coach for the CCHS girls' soccer teams. Monica is thrilled to be teaching in the same school district that helped to shape her into a well-rounded and positive adult. She hopes that by being a part of LEAD On she can bring the positive energy and ambition that are fostered by rural life to more of the youth across Northern Nevada.
Sarah Courser, Executive Vice President
Sarah Courser is a Senior at Churchill County High School. She attended the Leadership Summit last year and will be leading the coordination of this year’s LEAD On Ambassador Program. Sarah is outgoing, engaged, and strives to make the best out of everything she does. After high school, she plans to on attend the University of Nevada, Reno to become a labor and delivery nurse.
Garrett Kalt, VP of Communication
Born and raised in Fallon, Nevada, Garrett Kalt attributes his passion for service, leadership, and community to his small-town upbringing. Garrett views LEAD On as a platform to pay it forward and give back to the community that shaped him into the person he is today. He recently moved back home to Nevada after living abroad in London for a year where he earned his MSc in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Garrett hopes to begin a career in state and local government with a focus on internal communication, organizational management, and constituent relations.
Paolo Narag, VP of Development and Board Member
Paolo Narag graduated valedictorian from Churchill County High School in 2014. He completed his bachelors in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since leaving Fallon, Paolo has had opportunities from working in investment banking to consulting for Facebook. Last year he begin his career as an Account Executive at Procter & Gamble in Boston. Paolo hopes Churchill County youth come to realize that coming from a small Nevada town is not a disadvantage but a chance to write their own story.
alan kalt, VP of Fundrasing
Alan Kalt grew up in a rural town in southeastern Montana. The farming community of Forsyth had a significant impact on Alan's development. He attributes the environment in his ability to have “foresight” and challenges others to focus on the future. Alan is a certified public accountant and recently retired as the Churchill County Chief Financial Officer. His leadership assisted Churchill County in effectively dealing with growth and the economic challenges facing local governments over the past 25 years. Alan currently works with the Nevada POOL/PACT and teaches Extended Studies classes at the University of Nevada Reno. He is an honor graduate from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. He is excited about the positive impact LEAD On can have on helping youth find their passion in life and learn to be their personal best.
Shannon Garcia, Treasurer
Shannon (Mandic) Garcia was born and raised in Butte, MT and moved to Fallon 14 years ago to teach in Churchill County. She taught 1st grade for CCSD for ten years and is currently a 1st/2nd-grade math teacher at Oasis Academy. Shannon loves the small, rural community of Fallon and couldn't be more excited to support local students in becoming future leaders and advocates through LEAD On.
PAm Moore, Administrative Assistant
Pam Moore was born and raised in Fallon and attended Churchill County schools through the 9th grade. She currently serves as the Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. She comes from a big family, most of whom still live in Churchill County. Making a difference in the lives of youth matters to Pam, especially now as grandmother to 11 grandchildren.

Andy Lenon, Board Member
Andy Lenon grew up in Reno, Nevada and moved to Fallon five years ago. He is currently the school counselor at the Oasis Academy College Preparatory (OACP). Andy has been a school counselor for 11 years with the majority of his time spent in the public charter school system. While completing his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, he worked for the City of Sparks, City of Reno, and the State of Nevada at the Adolescent Treatment Center. He is passionate about helping students pursue their passions and to develop a "live for Monday" attitude. He is honored to be apart of LEAD Green and to help cultivate Fallon's next generation of leaders.
Summer Stephens, Board Member
Summer Stephens has been the superintendent for Churchill County School District since July 2018. Previously, she held the superintendency at Weston County School District #7 in Upton, Wyoming, as well as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Professional Development Consultant, and most fantastically classroom teacher in two districts. She has been thoroughly involved in all levels of education, serving on the board of a two-county early childhood center to serving on the Complete College Wyoming Advisory group. Most recently, she has been involved at the state and national level with Future Ready Schools and statewide implementation of virtual education and use of learning management systems. With a passion for personalized learning, Summer has successfully implemented systems of blended and online learning, voice and choice, self-paced learning, project-based learning, and design thinking. A specific focus of her work has included bridging the gap between courses traditionally identified as core and CTE working to ensure that systems have opportunities and pathways for all students to engage in future-ready work. Summer graduated from Centennial High School in Utica, Nebraska in 1993 where she participated in multiple sports, 4-H, Junior Legion Auxiliary, and was even a foreign exchange student to Japan. She ventured off to Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, followed by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education degree from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska followed by a Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE. She and her husband, Bert and their three daughters Elizabeth, Madeline, and Poppy are all finding Fallon a great place to live!
Jordan Nichols, Board Member
Jordan Nichols grew up in Fallon and is a 1996 graduate of Churchill County High School. Jordan started her college career at The University of Nevada, Reno and ended at The New York Film Academy in NYC. Jordan enjoys collaborating with local youth, small business and community leaders. She has been involved in the Churchill County Coalition as a member and Community Resource Liaison. Jordan is licensed in Coping Cognitive-Behavioral adolescent depression as well as Suicide Intervention and Mental Health first aid. Jordan works for Churchill County Juvenile Justice and enjoys serving our community. She met her now husband in NYC and eventual they moved to Fallon in 2007 to raise their three loving boys. Jordan and her family are happy to be part of Churchill County and give back to their community. This opportunity to be part of LEAD On is one Jordan could not pass up. Jordan is excited to see the impact LEAD On will have with students and community.
Maggie O’Flaherty, Board Member
Maggie O’Flaherty is a Nevada native and a 2015 graduate of Churchill County High School. She attended the University of Nevada, Reno and was a member of Delta Delta Delta, Theta Theta Chapter for four years, working closely with her sorority’s philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Maggie graduated in May of 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Peace Studies. With an interest in Nevada politics, she spent time in college interning during the 79th and 80th legislative sessions as a lobbyist and currently works as a Policy Analyst in Reno with McDonald Carano LLP. With a long history of CCHS graduates in her family and strong ties to Oasis Academy, Maggie is eager to help continue to strengthen the connection between our community and its youth.
Sarah Frey, Board Member
Sarah Frey is a Fallon native who graduated CCHS in 2002. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Social work and Psychology at Fresno Pacific University and completed her Masters of Education in Counselor Education at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. After working as a high school counselor in Alaska, she moved around the country a bit for her husband’s Air Force career, and they expanded their family with three fun-loving little boys. Sarah and her husband are excited to again make Fallon their home and give back to the community that provided them such a solid foundation. Sarah loves helping students prepare and plan for their future and is looking forward to working with the LEAD Green team to develop intentional leaders.
Kathleen Williams-Miller, Board Member
Kathleen Williams-Miller always inspired to be a teacher and has enjoyed teaching for 27 years. Kathleen has a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Education. Her greatest joy was teaching gifted/ talented education. Many of her students have gone on to wonderful careers. Kathleen believes LEAD Green is a unique opportunity for students to learn skills and strategies from successful individuals.
